In 2010 this student participated in HIV 101 education during a University 101 class. A year later, she reported the following: "I definitely learned alot in that 2010 class. And, I've remembered it. I couldn't believe I didn't know this stuff - at my age. I also shared the information with my family and friends. On a girls weekend road trip to the beach, I showed my goody bag to my friends and gave them the facts about HIV/AIDS and the local epidemic. They were stunned and thrilled to receive the information. Thank you, Piedmont Care, for all you are doing in our community."
