Piedmont Care is best known as the nonprofit organization providing HIV and AIDS care in Spartanburg, Cherokee and Union counties. Much of this is funded through federal Ryan White programs and encompasses a wide range of proactive services that benefit not only people living with HIV/AIDS, but their families and the entire upstate community. Since our creation in 1994, we have served over 1200 people living with AIDS. That is what we do and we do it very well, but our real mission must also address prevention and education. Unlike services relating to care, these programs must be sustained entirely by local resources. To put it another way: We know how many we have served; but we will never be able to quantify -- out of the thousands who have participated in our education and prevention efforts -- the numbers that, through correct information, have avoided HIV/AIDS.

It has never been truer that a dollar of prevention is worth thousands of dollars of cure – and we need your help to maintain and expand our prevention efforts. Your donation to Piedmont Care is tax deductible.

$30 provides one HIV test kit.
$30 sponsors one meeting of our living with HIV/AIDS support group.
$125 provides one HIV testing session.
$150 provides one HIV education and awareness community session.
$360 sponsors our living with HIV/AIDS support group for one year
$4,600 will provide HIV test kits for one year
