All individuals receiving this test must receive counseling before being tested and upon receiving their test results. Counseling includes: The importance of HIV testing, Basic HIV/AIDS knowledge assessment, risk reduction plan, condom demonstration, next steps if preliminary positive result, recommendation for follow-up testing.
