Tracey L. Jackson is the Executive Director at Piedmont Care, Inc. She began this position in 1998, becoming the first and only Executive Director of the organization to date. At Piedmont Care, she effectively runs a team of case managers, health educators, volunteers, and clinical providers to coordinate and provide medical, social, and psychological services for individuals and families affected by or at risk for HIV. During her tenure, she has expanded services to fill gaps in care and prevention, significantly increased resources focused on the epidemic, grown an innovative prevention program, and developed key partnerships to ensure success.

She is a graduate of the Management Academy of Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Furman University’s Connections: Women Leaders of the Upstate. She also completed the Excellence in Nonprofit Leadership and Management certificate program through The Learning Institute and Wofford College. Among her many awards are the 2015 Distinguished Alumna of the Year from the University of South Carolina Upstate, the 2013 Outstanding Career Achievements Award from South Carolina Business & Professional Women, the 2012 GSA Business Health Care Hero of the Year (professional), and the 1999 Alma and T.R. Garrison Professional Health Person of the Year. Tracey earned a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of South Carolina and Clemson University and received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of South Carolina Upstate.

Trista holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from USC Upstate, and is currently pursuing a Masters in Human Services degree with a concentration in Public Health. She was previously employed with the Charles Lea Center.

Loree joined our team in May 2016. She earned her BA from Converse College where she majored in Business with a concentration in Marketing. She holds a certificate from the University of Michigan’s Sexual Health Certificate Program, Sexuality Education Track, completed in 2020. She is an AASECT certified Sexuality Educator.

Julia earned a BA in Early Childhood Education from USC Upstate and Master of Education Degree in Family and Community Services. She comes to Piedmont Care with 11 years of experience in Early Intervention and Case Management Services.

Pauline started with Piedmont Care in October 2021. She has a BS in Business Administration from Johnson C. Smith University and more than 10 years of experience in healthcare.

Tenesha joined Piedmont Care in March 2019. She earned her BS in Psychology with a minor in Children’s Advocacy from USC Upstate. She earned her MS in Human Services Counseling with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy from Liberty University in January 2020. She has a background in child protective services, nonprofit, and working with the homeless population.

Ashley joined Piedmont Care in May 2022. She earned her nursing license in Saint Petersburg, Florida. She has 20+ years’ experience, from corrections, to substance abuse clinics, home health, and managing assisted living facilities. One day Ashley hopes to advance her education and become a nurse practitioner. She moved to Spartanburg from Tampa, Florida in April 2022.

Dr. Garman joined Piedmont Care in 2020 as Medical Director. He provides medical staff supervision and assist with planning and quality assurance. He earned his medical degree from St. George University in Grenada, West Indies. He earned a Master’s Degree in religion at Evangelical School of Theology in Myerstown, PA. and a Bachelor’s Degree in medicine at the University of Nebraska. He served his residency in internal medicine at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA. Dr. Garman is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Davice joined Piedmont Care in January 2023. She earned her BA in Sociology from Claflin University and MS in Human Services with a concentration in social and community services from Capella University. She has a background in adult protective services, child protective services, behavior intervention, home care services, community health work, and disability and special needs program management.

Megan joined the staff in September 2018. She earned her Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from Kaplan University. Megan comes to Piedmont Care after being at DHEC for the past 7 years, the last 2 in Preventive Health and Immuizations.

Dawn joined Piedmont Care, Inc. in September 2019. She has over 20 years of proven experience in private and public healthcare organizations. Dawn is a graduate of Wofford College where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology and has been working in healthcare administration since 2006. Previous work experience includes veterinary medicine, medical practice management, and as the Director of Professional Outreach with Mary Black Health Systems. Dawn lives in Spartanburg with her son, Oliver.

Jennifer joined the Piedmont Care team in March 2023. She earned her BA in Elementary Education from USC-Upstate. Jennifer brings 15+ years of case management experience from DSS, Department of Corrections, Voc Rehab, Department of Juvenile Justice, and Eckerd Connects (SC Works).

Glenda joined Piedmont Care, Inc. in March 2021. Dr. Sims is a graduate of Winston-State University (BSN), Medical College of Georgia (MSN), and Georgia State University where she earned a PhD. in Nursing Education. With expertise in adult health nursing, she has extensive experience in clinical teaching and clinical practice in acute care and community healthcare setting.

Michele joined Piedmont Care in June 2016. She is a 2020 graduate of the University of South Carolina – Upstate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and a 2013 graduate of Spartanburg Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Administrative Office Technology.

Noelle earned her BA in Social Work from Columbia College in South Carolina. She brings 23 years of social work experience to her position. Prior to joining Piedmont Care, she was a medical social worker with hospice.

Megan joined Piedmont Care in October 2021. She transports clients to medical, mental health, support group, and other appointments.
